The B&B on Abingdon Road

Sunday, when we got to Oxford, after our long train ordeal, it was flurrying and the evening light was perfect.  There was even a rainbow visible from our b&b window.  Sadly, I have no pictures of this, but the view from our windows is always nice.  We're staying here, and I recommend it if you happen to be visiting Oxford.  We spent a lot more than we wanted to, but it is nice, the full English breakfast is delicious, and--the best part--it's a very quick walk into the city.  We took a cab from the train station, but otherwise, we walked everywhere.

We weren't really sure what to expect when we checked in, but the only person around seemed to be Pavlov, a tall thin guy with half of a British accent who lives at the b&b and looks after the place when the owner is away.  He gave us a map of the city, showed us to our room, and recommended a Chinese restaurant for dinner.  I have to admit that one of my favorite things about this room is that they always make sure you have enough hot chocolate.  Chris bought some Starbucks Via and we've been making the yummiest mochas, and drinking lots of hot tea as well.
