Parc Monceau

On Friday we woke up a little too tried from the (successful!) trip from (Oxford to) London to Paris.  It really took all day to get there and it was a little hard for all of us, especially the kids.  Also, we were really upset about the possibility of our lovely England vacation photos being gone forever, and we just couldn't figure out what we wanted to do with our morning so we wasted it.  Tragic :(
We did emerge from the apartment just before lunch time and walked along Rue Lepic, shopping for picnic items as we went.  (More on that tomorrow.) Later we bought some metro/bus tickets and hopped on a bus, and we ended up at Parc Monceau (maybe a 15 minute walk from the apartment anyway.)

The park itself was very pretty and the weather was nice too.  We immediately gravitated toward the carousel where Eli took a ride, and the rest of the time we just strolled while Sammy slept in the stroller.  Sadly, this is the only park we made it to during our stay in Paris!  We had planned to visit at least two more, but those will have to wait until next time, I guess.
