Up at who knows what time (I think 3 something local time)

After a long, easy enough flight (Air France is very nice!) and a less good flight on what I'll call a crop duster (also AF), we have made it to Bristol!
Even though we were told before the trip that Sammy is a bit too tall to fit in the airplane bassinet, a flight attendant brought us one as soon as the plane was in the air, and after a lot of work Sammy actually slept in it.  I'm really glad we had it, and because we had to sit in seats where there's bassinet hookup, we got extra legroom and there was no one right in front of us for Eli to kick.

I won't tell you how grouchy all the travel made me.


Okay, I will...very grouchy! :(


We took a taxi to the hotel and they let us check in early.  The building in the picture above is the view from our room.  It's a local pub, which we ate dinner at.  I wish I had taken my camera so I could show you the cute interior, and so you could see Eli enjoying his prawn sandwich.

Right now, the boys are waking up and we're heading down to breakfast.  Today is aquarium day, and maybe picnic day, and definitely rain day.

And for your enjoyment, a quote from Chris late last night: "Not bad...I mean, it only cost 6 pounds 7 ounces for all that." :)  We're getting used to things.
