Today was pretty cool. Chris "met" Becky and her now husband Owen years ago on a Tolkien website, and they happen to live in Oxford and graciously offered to give us a tour. So this morning we walked to city centre, right down the road from our bed & breakfast, and met them in real life. Having been students at Oxford, they really know their stuff. They were also super fun to hang out with. AND it turns out, Owen is a lecturer at Merton College, part of the University...and he had a key..and he unlocked a door that led to a beautiful courtyard and showed us around there as well. We ended our tour with a lunch at the Eagle and Child pub.
